Welcome to Ultimate Web Comics 2008! I hope you enjoy the process of making your very own web comic and letting the world see your cool ideas! There is so much info I want to share with you! To the right is a snippet from Scott McCloud's Book "Understanding Comics: The Invisible Art". Click on it to see the full image.Ok lets get started!! On Today's Agenda: Monday, July 7th (first day of session one!) 1. Workshop Rules 2. Introduction don't forget to check out my website to see my personal artwork. 3. Read/discuss "Brief History" article by T. Campbell from the book "A History of Webcomics". 4. Presentation of some neat comics I like. 5. Register for our blog and explore past comics from 2006 and 2007. 6. Blog activity: find a web comic, post the link, and tell us why you like it. Check your classmates' comics in the comment section below and feel free to respond. 7. Hopefully we learn what makes a good comic today so tomorrow we can start the brainstorming! |

This is Heather...Gogh is my username jsyk. These sites were good...but now I really want you guys to think "outside the box a little to make sure you create a truly unique web comic. Simpsons and Dilbert are great comics but there are so many more that need exploring. |

| y1fg | Mr.Chartier tapes Mike English's right arm up and his left arm down. Then Mr.Chartier with a squirt gun makes it look like Mike wet himself. Finally out of nowhere a Jamakin guy jumps out and says that it's burgar time and everyone starts dancing. |
