Nintendo World Report Charity Auction |
If you've been living under a rock for the last few year or you aren't a gaming nerd, you may not have heard about a great charity. The guys over at Penny Arcade created a charity a couple years ago called Child's Play. Check out their site for all the info, but they've raised a ton of money over the past few years in the form of toys for kids in children's hospitals throughout the world. It's really simple to get involved. Simply go to the site. Click on a hospital of your choice on their map, which brings you to an Amazon wish list. Add an item or two to your cart, check out, and it will get shipped directly to the hospital.
As many of you know, I've been writing for Nintendo World Report for almost two years now. Every year we send a few games that we have lying around over to the charity. This year, Jonathan Metts (NWR's Reviews Editor) donated a sweet Pikmin 2 standy signed by all of the important people behind the game, including Miyamoto and Tezuka, to be auctioned off for a cash donation. Check out a bunch of photos and a link to the auction over at NWR.
Also, if you'd like to hear even more about Child's Play, NWR recently did an interview with Mike (Gabe) from Penny Arcade. You can read it here and listen to it here.
