New PaleHour Features! |
I have plans to launch a new blog in the (hopefully) near future. Before I do it, I want to add several features to the PaleHour engine. I launched two of those today.
Firstly, creating an account is no longer necessary to comment. I have utilized Recaptcha to cut down on spam. Hopefully this will encourage some more comments from readers.
For the second feature, you'll have to click the "Read more..." link below!
Assuming you were reading this post on the main listing page, clicking "Read more..." revealed this text.
This is an incredibly common feature of blogs and it is designed to make it so extra long posts don't clutter up the main post listing.
Please let me know if you have any problems with anything!

Ugh, I was forced to disable the Recaptcha stuff. Spam was already filling up the sites.
Either I did something wrong or Recaptcha sucks. I'm gonna have to look into it. |

Ok. Trying to roll out a modify version of what used to be Recaptcha based.
Seeing as Recaptcha wasn't that reliable anyway, I'm moving on to a more straightforward, less elegant, and more silly approach.
Let's ask the users if they are a robot and if they are a person, and only let them post based on their answers! |

Still having plenty of issues with spam. Going to try a couple new things.
Such an obnoxious battle... |

Ok. Put in another measure to hopefully block most spammers. We'll see how this goes. |
